The X-Files Movie

Do NOT waste your money on this flick. It was very very awful. haha To be more specific, bad acting was emphasized by bad lines, were delivered by a bad and poorly developed plot. If you can call that a plot. It was very typically all an intermingled issue which was pathetically obvious from the very beginning.

So if you enjoy bad acting, bad directing, strange camera angles, or you like just sitting back in your seat, wondering when on earth such a short movie will be over, and thinking to yourself all the things you could be doing other than watching the movie, then the X Files movie is definitely the right movie for you!

Enough said.

Twilight

Photobucket

I recently heard a good bit of buzz on this new movie coming out based off of the novel, "Twilight" by Stephanie Meyer. So, after seeing the teaser trailer, I was intrigued enough with the story line to buy the book and read it. I like mystery/magical stories. So obviously, I'm a Harry Potter fan. haha

Anyway, I read the book in only two days. I could barely put it down. I'd give it 4 stars. Definitely had a great plot line that wasn't too hard to follow, and the suspenseful setbacks you see foreshadowed but never anticipate until they hit you. Which I really can enjoy in stories. When the author knows how your mind works. That really makes for a good writer. And Stephanie didn't miss any turn in my mind.

The main character even reminded me of myself to sound cliche. My hair also looks red in the sunlight. But it was more than just the little things, though I'm definitely not so clumsy. The thought processes were definitely in common light though. I won't get too far into it. I just thought it was ironic and cool.

That said, I very much enjoyed the book and will dutifully continue in the series. I also can't wait until the movie comes out. I want to see what they changed/kept from the actual story. From the trailer though they had dialogue spot on. Am I now a book nerd?

Perhaps I'll take it as a compliment. :-)

Read the book, and see the movie. Its quite enjoyable, and promises to make for a good flick.
